Why I Want to Help You Reach Your Goals Without Making Your Soul Weep!
Why I Want to Help You Reach Your Goals Without Making Your Soul Weep! I believe that conventional wisdom is often fixated on moving big, moving fast, and moving constantly. You’ve probably heard the phrase “go big or go home.” Well, I want to go small and stay home!
This focus leaves little space for slow, deep thinking—leaving those of us who want to take our time feeling overwhelmed, mismatched, and depleted. Every coach who tried to push me beyond my comfort zone made my soul weep, and I don’t want that for you.
That’s why I am committed to supporting quiet and highly sensitive women in reaching their goals without the frenetic activity that is usually required. My support is dedicated to:
- Fostering a safe space for you to live the life you truly want—not the one your inner critic wants you to settle for.
- Helping you make meaningful progress – without the stress.
- Finding that sweet spot between moving at a comfortable pace and taking the rest you need – while still progressing faster than you would on your own.
Here Are A Few Things That Truly Make My Soul Weep:
- Being told what to do.
- Being told how I should do something.
- Being told I can’t do something.
- Alan Wilder leaving Depeche Mode.
- Constantly flipping between world-class arrogance and world-class imposter syndrome.
- Not being given enough time to think things through.
- People trying to make me feel better when I feel sad or angry.
- Milky tea.
- Being told to hurry up.
- Thinking of the perfect retort about three days too late.
- Having to pull a second oracle card when the first one doesn’t tell me what I want to hear.
- Early Bird Pricing
- The idea that bigger, faster, more is better.
- “Go big or go home.”
- Introverts and highly sensitive women not living the lives they want because they’re trying to twist themselves into how the world thinks they should be.
What People Say
Laura gave me space to open up and truly be myself and connect with what I really wanted in life. She was able to see how I was masking a situation I was in - being concerned about whether or not to get another cat after mine had passed away. She saw that I was really worried about losing my independence if I moved in with my partner. It was a dose of reality I will never forget and it led me to shift my thinking to become fully present in my relationship. To say it was life changing is an understatement. I'm forever in her debt living a happy life with my partner because of her ability to see the bigger picture for me
I had never had a coaching session before so I was a bit nervous, but Laura put me at ease immediately. I had just left a secure, well-paid job and was hoping to make a career change. I enjoyed my job, but I wanted to do something I was passionate about. The leap was daunting and I kept putting pressure on myself. I felt like the next move had to be so bold and dramatic that if it wasn’t, well, then I was a failure. But working with Laura ¬¬I hit upon the revelation that it would be okay to take small, incremental steps (and sidesteps) towards my goal instead of some grand gesture. It might seem like a ‘duh’ moment for most people but I really had not thought of it, I was clouded by this need to prove myself in one single move. Laura taught me it’s okay to move ahead in steps, and sometimes just wait to see what happens and just take it from there. Just keep moving forward, even if it’s just small, tentative steps. It’s made a big difference.
Laura has a natural capacity to make me feel at ease and comfrotbale to open up about my fears, my sadness, my grief and my struggles. She holds space for growth and celebration as well as time for quiet reflection, something often missing in the crazy busy world in which we live. Laura supported me in facing self-doubt and walked me through anticipatory grief around losing my mum. She was gentle, kind and encouraging. As someone who struggles to allow others to “take care” of me Laura gave me space to be myself in a judgement free zone
